Who does the Song or Lyric Evaluations?
The Evaluations are done by multi-award winning songwriter Craig Bickhardt. In addition to his decades of experience as a successful composer, Craig currently teaches songwriting through the distance learning website SongU.com. He is also a performing Indie recording artist and recent winner of the 2007 IAMA, who brings this experience to bear on his evaluations.

We offer a full service lyric and melodic evaluation opportunity for beginners and professional songwriters who seek an objective critique designed to help you improve your writing. Based on 25 years of success as a hit songwriter with cuts by over 150 recording acts worldwide, Craig's evaluations are geared toward the commercial music publishing industry, but also take into account the new independent music industry. Each song or lyric will be thoroughly analyzed for its commercial potential, as well as for its structure, clarity, and artistic continuity. You will receive helpful, relevant comments that will enable you to pinpoint your song or lyric's strengths and weaknesses. We're confident you'll learn something from each evaluation. How do I submit my song or lyric for evaluation?
Lyrics may be sent in simple email form or as Microsoft Word attachments clearly named by at least a portion of the lyric's title. Please do not send attachments titled for example "lyric.doc". You may also send a link to an external website PROVIDED it does not require membership registration in order to access to the file. Do not send biographical material, or extensive explanations with your song or lyric. A few comments or specific questions relating to the song or lyric are fine. TO ENSURE THAT YOU AREN'T SPAM-BLOCKED PLEASE EMAIL CRAIG FIRST BEFORE SENDING MP3 FILES. Files should be compressed as much as possible and should be in standard MP3 or Windows Media form. DO NOT SEND WAV FILES, OR .RA (Real Audio) FILES.
How will I receive my evaluation and how soon will it be completed?
You will receive each evaluation separately as an email or Word Document attachment. Most evaluations will be completed within 5 business days, but occasionally it takes longer due to Craig's schedule. If you need an evaluation completed by a certain date, please contact us (chromehead73***@hotmail.com remove ***) first to see if this will be possible.
How much does the service cost and how many songs or lyrics may I send?
The fee for each evaluation is $25 per song or lyric. You may send as many songs or lyrics as you like, provided each evaluation is paid for in advance. Follow-up evaluations for re-writes are treated as new evaluations. Sorry, but due to Craig's schedule he cannot follow-up with answers to additional questions unless another evaluation is submitted. He will be glad to answer specific questions or address specific concerns in that way.
How do I pay for my evaluations?
You may pay by check or money order ($25 per evaluation), or you may use the special Paypal link below. By submitting any song or lyric for evaluation you agree that you have read the Legal Disclaimer and that you consent to the terms of this agreement.

1. For the purposes of this agreement, any person or persons submitting a song or lyric for evaluation shall hereafter be referred to as the "Writer". The service shall hereafter be referred to as the "Evaluation Service"
2. Whereas Craig Bickhardt shall, for a fee hereafter referred to as the "Evaluation Fee(s)", evaluate and critique the Writer's song or lyric for the sake of assessing its commercial potential, the Writer shall agree not to hold Craig Bickhardt liable for any damages to the Writer's career, image, or intellectual property resulting from such evaluation or critique. Such damages shall include, but not be limited to, any and all infringement lawsuits filed against the Writer by third parties.
3. The Evaluation Fee(s) shall be payable prior to submitting the song or lyric for evaluation. Craig Bickhardt shall, at his sole discretion, have the right to refuse to evaluate or critique any song or lyric provided that any Evaluation Fee(s) paid by the Writer for such evaluation be refunded to the Writer in full.
4. No portion of the written evaluation sent to the Writer by Craig Bickhardt shall be used, or considered, as an endorsement of the Writer's song or lyric, or quoted in connection with any promotion of the Writer's creative work or image, nor shall any passage be reproduced in any medium, electronic or otherwise, without Craig Bickhardt's expressed written consent.
5. This Evaluation Service may be terminated at any time, and Craig Bickhardt shall have the right to discontinue any or all correspondence related to the Evaluation Service and its operation.
